Vale's 5 Self Care Tips

Vale's 5 Self Care Tips

  1. HYDRATE: It might sound basic but you know I’m right, hydrate yourself. Drinking water is the most common one but also the most overseen. People tend to forget that you shouldn’t only drink water when you’re parched. You should drink water all through out the day because it has so many benefits. It helps you flush bacteria, great to keep your skin hydrated, helps prevents headaches/migraines. And honestly, you’ll glow ✨
  2. MOVEMENT: whether that be working out, taking a walk, yoga, moving your body, etc. Staying active is the absolute best thing. Not only for your physical health but for your mental health. During the pandemic, when everything was closed, getting a work out in my own house kept me sane. It kept me feeling motivated to be productive. It’s so easy to make excuses but pushing yourself to move your body is the best thing we can do for ourselves. Find an accountability partner to keep each other going.
  3. GET OUTSIDE: Taking yourself for a walk, getting some Vitamin D, soaking up the sunshine. All things we should be doing on the daily. Getting some sunshine is good for your mental health. It helps wake you up and feel refreshed. Listen to a podcast, put on your favorite songs and step outside, you’re not gonna regret it.
  4. SURROUND YOURSELF BY GOOD PEOPLE: Good people are those who make you feel like your best self. Who keep you accountable for the things you say you are going to do. Good people are those that support you through the fun times and the bad. Find those people and keep them around. Find friends that become your family and bring out the best in you.
  5. FIND A CREATIVE OUTLET. Whether that be dancing, writing, drawing. Find something that lights something inside of you. Maybe it’s making creative TikTok’s! Whatever that “thing” is for you, make time for it. Finding an outlet to express yourself in different ways brings new opportunities and ideas. Sometimes you have to prioritize yourself, prioritize the things that make you feel good.
